Roberto Morelli

Roberto Morelli had developed a passion for drawing, painting and fashion at an early age.  To support his study of fine art, he began to work at beauty salons in his native Rome.  Before long, he was taken under the wing of Rino Carboni (celebrated makeup artist to Federico Fellini), who taught him special effects and theatrical makeup.  In Milan, he began working on magazine editorials, with such models and actresses as; Naomi Campbell, Elle McPherson, Claudia Schiffer, Monica Bellucci, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Molly Sims.  Roberto traveled the world eventually settling in New York City, where he is now based.

His work with such acclaimed photographers as Annie Leibovitz, Mario Sorrenti and Tom Munro have graced the pages of the world’s best fashion magazines. He was honored to participate in works with late fashion editor, Isabella Blow. In recent years, Roberto worked with long time client, Lauren Hutton, as the color development director of her makeup line. He now creates her makeup and hair looks for a line of products produced for Strivectin, as well as beautiful editorial stories. His participation with the Untitled Magazine, producing and creating makeup and hair for many beauty and fashion editorials, led to his assignment as Beauty Editor of the Magazine.
